MMC gives webinar on issues with mooring systems


Richard Akers, CTO of Maine Marine Composites, gave a webinar on "Fatigue Factors in Mooring Systems for Floating Offshore Wind Turbines" in Portland, ME. This presentation covers a number of engineering design challenges faced by the burgeoning FOWT industry, including anchor and mooring failures, fatigue mechanisms and computer simulation modeling.
